Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice - Why you need this on your skin NOW.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice - Why you need this on your skin NOW.

We know, it's totally basic.

Those fall leaves start turning and out come the boots, oversized sweaters, and we fill our cold hands with pumpkin spice lattes.

Okay, maybe not ALL of us.  But despite getting a rep for being basic, pumpkin actually has a LOT to offer.  Let's discuss why you need this superfood on your skin right now!

1. Pumpkin is Antioxidant Rich.

Like, totally rich.  It contains alpha-carotene, beta-carotene and beta-cryptoxanthin.  Without getting too detailed here, we'll just say they know how to neutralize the crap out of free radicals, stopping damage before it starts, AND they protect skin from the effects of sun damage.

2. It's also Vitamin Rich.

Vitamins A, C, and E help soften and smooth skin, as well as boost collagen production, kicking a powerful punch to aging skin. Fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids help naturally exfoliate dead skin cells and increase cell turnover.  We all know how pesky those buggers can be when they get to hang out on our skin too long... clogged pores, anyone??

3. It ALSO contains Zinc and Potassium.

Antioxidants and vitamins AND minerals?  Oh, my!  Zinc can support powerful healing when applied to skin, and this little duo can combat anti-inflammatory effects such as skin redness.

Overall?  Pumpkin is basically amazing.

See what we did there?  The molecular structure of pumpkin is small and can penetrate the skin more deeply than other topical masks or treatments, making this an ideal treatment for dull, cold, dry skin, aging skin, or pigmentation.

Check out the cheesy video below (read: we are skincare peeps not videographers...) to see the entire process of pumpkin-izing your face.

Then, pick some up while supplies last and see for yourself!
